We are learning about Sound and Sound Waves in Science, so this week we are going to apply what we have learnt to Music.  This weeks activity consists on creating a musical instrument using anything you find in your blue and yellow kitchen rubbish bins.  When you are finished, send us a video of you playing your instrument, and remember we want to hear music, not noise!  GOOD LUCK!

THAUMATROPE

You are going to make a thaumatrope. WHAT? Yes, it is a very strange word.  A THAUMATROPE is an old-fashined toy that plays tricks in your eyes. If you make it spin really fast between you hands, you can see  both pictures together.  How do we make it? It is very easy:  Try to use original ideas, what images can you put on both sides?  Upoad a photograph to the Edmodo assignment when you are finished. Enjoy!

Last week we started the second part of the Science Fair project, with the SCIENCE OF LIGHT. As light and colour are very closely related to Art, this week you are going to create a completely free art project . Just one instruction: It needs to be YELLOW .  I want to remind you, to give you ideas, that Art can be many things , for example:  dance, theatre, opera, music, literary arts, culinary arts, sculpture, photograph, a rchitecture, painting, performing, film... Switch your creativity on, and let's go!

DO YOU ALL REMEMBER THE ONE-POINT PERSPECTIVE  ACTIVITY WE DID IN CLASS ? IT LOOKED SOMETHING LIKE THIS:  This week we are going to do a different one, but still starting from one point. Look at these images, these are the steps to create a CIRCULAR one-point perspective building scene . Have a look at the three images below:  Do you understand the idea?  If you need help , you can watch this video (voluntary):  Recommendations : start with pencil, trace it with black marker only when you are happy with the result, and use creative and original ideas to finish it!  You have one week .
